Maintenance of Your Artificial Turf
If you’ve had natural grass in the past, you know exactly how much maintenance it needs to be in tip top shape. All of the watering, fertilizing, aerating, patching, mowing, weeding … it’s a huge cost and takes up a lot of time that you could be spending enjoying your backyard.
With our artificial turf products, none of that is needed!
The Cal Pro team can show you the simple maintenance tasks of gently brushing the turf when necessary, or we can truly make it worry free for you and set you up with our easy maintenance plan.
Performing your own maintenance
If your turf becomes dirty or littered with foreign debris, maintenance is as follows: wash turf off with garden hose to remove dust as needed. If there are lots of leaves or foreign debris on the turf, simply use a leaf blower to gently remove items until clean. Please note: do not point the air tub directly into grass, as it will disrupt the infill that was applied.
If pets soil the turf, this will need to be rinsed thoroughly with water. A pet enzyme will need to be applied to kill any germs and bacteria caused by the urine and pet feces. If pets regularly use the turf, this method will need to be repeated once or twice per week.
